Job Title: Regional Manager – EMS (Western Territory)

Reports To: Vice President of Sales - EMS

Job Classification: Exempt


Key Success Factors:

-          Achieving sales budget and maintaining expenses

-          Ongoing training and support to the EMS Dealer Sales Forces to ensure sales goals are met

-          Direct Communication with relevant dealer representatives/distributors and Key Accounts

-          Make sure all Ambu products are on all bids

-          Develop Relationships with Key Medical Directors and Key Accounts

Responsibilities and decision competencies:

-          Education/training and support of EMS dealers Sales Organizations

-          Education/training of Prospects, Customers and Dealers

-          New product launches

-          Support development & implementation of promotions with Marketing  team

-          Ongoing analysis of market trends and competitive products

-          Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs Manager on product quality issues

-          Work with all EMS Dealer Representatives on a rotational schedule to ensure optimum performance in the Region

-          Maintain demo equipment pool and samples within prescribed budget

-          Use Company provided CRM system diligently

Maintain all expenses within budget

Communication responsibilities:

-          Ad hoc communication of  important information to relevant personnel

-          Sharing of calendar and activity with VP Sales

-          Monthly key activity report (reps worked with, accounts, activity, results, next steps, strategic info, competitive info, needs  (product, training, other offerings)

Interfaces and coordination:

-          VP Sales: Decisions of strategic importance as part of monthly activity report, Goals, activity, strategic issues/opportunities, market trends

-          EMS Region Managers:  Sharing of ideas, strategic issues/opportunities, dealer and customer related issues

-          Marketing Dept: Promotions, Marketing Material, Training and Product Issues

-          QA/Operations dept: Product and Delivery issues

-          Customer Service: Customer Related Issues


-          50% overnight travel

-          Participation in local, national, and international exhibitions

-          Visit with Account Managers, AVP's/RM's, Distributors/Dealers, Prospects,  and Customers

Qualifications /Experience:

-          Candidate must have excellent product and market knowledge, competitor knowledge,

-          An understanding of our business processes, excellent communication skills and exhibit a professional presence.

-          Minimum of five (5) years of previous sales experience

-          Minimum of two (2) years of Medical Sales experience

-          Experience with selling through distributors

-          Valid driver's license, in good standing.

-          Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.

-          Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-          College degree in a related field, or equivalent in work experience
