Job Summary:  Responsible for initiating, implementing and supporting Senior Product Managers /Director with Marketing activities related to the GI market and product line under the supervision of Senior Market Manager/Director.

 KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Support product and market strategies to optimize sales and profitability of product lines, in accordance with marketing plan.
  • Support and execute market strategies to achieve product line revenue, contribution and market share targets
  • Support and provide efficient training and tools to sales team
  • Ability to be flexible in fast paced changing market landscape
  • Ability to work with multi-departmental and multinational team members
  • Ability to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for local team

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and assist in developing product and market strategies for GI endoscope market
  • Continuously monitor product area progress and provide monthly business analysis report to Sr Market manager for monthly report to VP Marketing
  • Support sales force with day to day needs and requests related to marketing collateral and coordination with other business areas
  • Co-analyze and develop optimal market positioning and pricing
  • Support segmenting, targeting, messaging, and positioning
  • Co-develop market communication plan for product areas to ensure product and marketing messaging throughout all communication platforms
  • Manage brand to ensure brand consistency in product design and marketing communications including trade shows
  • Co-develop education and training programs for end users/ customers
  • Co-develop education and training material for sales force
  • Co-develop sales literature, sales tools and content
  • Collect, analyze and make recommendations based upon quantitative and qualitative data for market research, competitive analysis, investment business cases, product launch planning, positioning and pricing strategies
  • Provide product training and technical support to sales team and customers
  • Provide sales support in select cases where regional managers are not able to
  • Co-develop KOL relationships where appropriate
  • Conceptualize and implement marketing collateral for sales activities, sales force training, end user training, and GPO/IDN contracting activities
  • Travel (30%+ of time) related to tradeshows/conferences and customer visits in conjunction with local representatives

Communication responsibilities:

  • Monthly presentation business status at monthly marketing meeting 
  • Monthly key activity report (Product line sales/profit update, key marketing activities)
  • Ad hoc communication of important information to relevant personnel

Interfaces with:

  • VP Marketing: Decisions of strategic importance as part of monthly activity report, goals, activity, strategic issues/opportunities, market trends
  • VP Sales:  Sharing of ideas, strategic issues/opportunities, dealer and customer related issues
  • VP Sales Operations: Communication on sales focus, effectiveness of marketing strategies, pricing policies etc.
  • QA/Operations dept: Product and Delivery issues
  • Customer Service: Product Related Issues
  • Supply chain: Input to inventory forecast
  • Corporate Marketing and European stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and product management in medical device/pharma, GI experience highly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Expertise with Microsoft office, especially Power Point and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
