Ambu's Marketing team uses engaging content to connect with our customers and show the value of products. The Marketing Content Writer will have the ability to write stories about our people, products, and brand. In addition, he/she will write articles, brochures, press releases, web pages, newsletters, customer success stories, and much more. Through collaboration with the MARCOM team, the Marketing Content Writer will help bring campaigns strategies to life with innovative and engaging content. He/she will interview our customers to tell their stories and work with our product management team to tell the stories of our products and how they advance patient care.

Title: Marketing Content Writer

Reports to: Senior Content Editor

Location: Columbia, MD

Position Summary:

The Marketing Content Writer will be responsible for creating editorial content for online publication, as well as writing copy for advertisements and sales collateral. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of personas for Ambu's various hospital clients
  • Write 3-4 weekly pieces of branded and original editorial content
  • Transform Voice of Customer (VOC), product features, and benefits into world-class content by understanding the needs of the target audience
  • Research and perform interviews create engaging content
  • Work with freelance contributors to scale content production
  • Guide content through our internal approval processes
  • Create promotional ads and social media posts for online content
  • Work with digital marketing, videographers and graphic designers to translate the content into impactful customer-facing materials
  • Work with SEM agency create search ads
  • Ensure that our content resonates with our personas and drives action
  • Build audiences from our clients and prospects through thought provoking writing
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to wordsmith product collateral
  • Track engagement and ROI for articles and ads 

Qualifications / Education:

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a copywriter or editorial writer in the healthcare space
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or related field
  • Agency experience is preferred, and examples of successful campaigns will be expected
  • Ability to translate complex medical and health economics information for non-technical audiences
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of content management systems, marketing automation and Google Analytics is a big plus
  • Ability to meet deadlines often with a quick turnaround time
  • Strong computer skills/experience including MS Office products and online collaboration tools
  • Proficient at using PowerPoint to get your point across'both in designing the presentation and presenting the content.
  • Experience with content management systems and HTML/CSS a plus
