Title: Digital Marketing Analyst

Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager

Location: Columbia, MD

Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Analyst will be responsible for reporting on Ambu's day-to-day digital marketing analytics, data activities and initiatives including, but not limited to, website analytics, email marketing, lead generation, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), paid social media, digital banners ads and brand surveys. Through collaboration with the rest of the digital marketing and communications teams, this position will examine the digital user journey and think through when, where, and what messages will enhance the user experience, while supporting Ambu's business objectives in generating new customers and leads. Overall, the Digital Marketing Analyst will be responsible for supporting continuous growth with digital marketing campaigns and optimization efforts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the coordination of data collection, reporting, visualization, insights finding and action items defined across all digital channels and customer buying journeys
  • Function as an analytics expert to the Digital Marketing and E-Commerce teams to ensure consistent operation, best practices, and governance
  • Identify and create needed data points to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for different marketing channels and recommend optimizations
  • Routinely provide upper management with strategic insights and analysis of trends, user case studies and customer feedback of the digital marketing campaigns
  • Understand digital marketing metrics such as CPM/CPC, CTR, ROI among different campaigns and multi-channels
  • Set up reporting dashboards and/or excel spreadsheets and construct bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly PowerPoint presentations for leadership teams
  • Implement best practices for proper digital campaign and website tagging. Capable of troubleshooting and working with the IT team to fix site tracking issues
  • Set up media and site tagging to track ads performance and user behavior on site
  • Conduct analysis of multi-channel campaign performance and recommend testing strategies to optimize results
  • Define and apply marketing attribution models (last/first-touch, multi-touch, etc.)
  • Support the Digital Marketing team, E-Commerce team, site operations, sales group, and others, with analytics and presentations as requested
  • Manage third party display vendors reporting cadence and work with them to optimize the tactic performance
  • Execute the digital marketing strategy including owned, paid, and earned media to improve awareness, engagement, and leads
  • Report and analyze digital advertising efforts, including pay-per-click, banner advertising, retargeting, etc.
  • Work with the Corporate team to develop and implement U.S. SEO and organic search strategy
  • Work closely with the CRM Database Specialist to understand and segment customer database/visibility through targeted digital strategies (e.g. LinkedIn, webinars, PPC, etc.)
  • Monitor, assess, and report on the performance of digital marketing activities

 Qualifications / Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Digital or E-Commerce analytics
  • Ability to manipulate and summarize large data sets from multiple digital marketing campaign sources
  • Prior experience with Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Google Tag Manager, as well understanding of PPC SEM, paid social media analytics, digital ads and/or other programmatic ad platforms
  • Comfortable in presenting complex data and insights to upper management to help them understand the campaign/site performance
  • Required knowledge of latest digital marketing trends, suite of vendor/technology solutions/options
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and digital content creation
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills accompanied by a strong business and technical background, including business operations, process improvement, and change impact
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
